One Dallas mystery solved: Remember how we discussed the new key art for TNT’s upcoming remake of the iconic nighttime soap? (Of course you do.) Well, the young actors playing Southfork’s next generation are pretty sure some of their co-stars had a little help.
“We were definitely all photographed, separately, wearing towels. The whole cast,†Jordana Brewster told Vulture Wednesday at the Turner networks upfront luncheon. Indeed, Dallas veterans Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, and Patrick Duffy stripped down for the shoot. “I’m sure there was some Photoshopping done, but yeah, we all posed in towels,†she said. One guy who didn’t have any problems with that? Josh Henderson, who plays J.R.’s smouldering, hotheaded son, John Ross Ewing III. He’s a good sport and very used to being the shirtless guy at this point. Before Dallas required him to take it all off regularly, he spent much of his time sans top on Desperate Housewives, where he played the seductive nephew of Nicollette Sheridan’s Edie Britt in 2006. “I remember a lot of, ‘Yeah, you’re going to do this scene with Julie and you’ll be studying, so … go ahead and take your shirt off.’ Or, ‘Someone is going to knock on the door, and you’ll answer it, so … let’s just do boxers,’†Hutcherson said. “Now I hear ‘wardrobe,’ and it’s like, no need.’â€
