Rumor has it that Mackie would play Sam Wilson, a.k.a. Falcon, one of Marvel’s first African-American superheroes and a guy who telepathically talks to birds. He can also fly (in his suit, at least). Anyway, this is good news for Steve Rogers, who could really use a retro friend to get drunk with once in a while. Too many sad punching-bag scenes for that guy.
