Keri Russell’s Cold War drama is moving forward at FX, the network announced today. The Americans, about two KGB spies posing as American suburbanites, will air thirteen episodes starting early next year. Russell and Matthew Rhys star as Elizabeth and Phillip Jennings — at least that’s what people, including their children, know them as, but the two are actually Russian spies whose marriage was arranged by their bosses. They live deep undercover in a D.C. suburb, and things get extra complicated when an FBI agent (Noah Emmerich) moves into their neighborhood. Gosh, we are going to be so sad if this show sucks.
