Larry David’s New Film Sounds Familiar

Larry David’s working on a new, improv-heavy movie for HBO (that will costar Jon Hamm), but what’s it about? According to the LA Times, the untitled film casts David as a man who gives up his shares in an electric car inventor’s project and then stews on his missed opportunity when the car becomes a huge hit and makes the inventor rich. That may sound a bit like Sour Grapes, the 1998 film David wrote and directed where Steven Weber loans Craig Bierko two coins for a slot machine and then stews on his missed opportunity when Bierko hits the jackpot, making him rich. The moral of this story: If you suddenly come into money, maybe wait a little while to tell Larry David.
