It’s taken Fox a little while to mount its big-screen reboot of comic book property Daredevil, and a few months after David Slade dropped out, the studio has lined up Joe Carnahan to direct a gritty take on the material. One problem? It needs to start shooting by October 10 if Fox wants to keep the property, otherwise the character reverts to Disney-owned Marvel Studios. Still, Variety reports that Fox and Marvel are trying to hammer out an agreement: Fox can keep Daredevil a bit longer … if the studio lets Marvel and Disney raid its storeroom of previously licensed characters, like Silver Surfer and Galactus. A clever plot twist, and with time running out!
