England’s Daily Mail has word that Emily Blunt and fellow Brit Ruth Wilson (Luther, Anna Karenina) are being eyed for Joss Whedon’s Avengers sequel. The part is Ms. Marvel, alias Carol Danvers. ComicBookMovie notes that Blunt was originally approached for Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow role in Iron Man 2 and then a part in Captain America. Vulture recently established that Blunt’s American accent is impeccable, if Marvel wants to take that into consideration.
