It’s the couple’s second joint venture since ABC picked up a workplace comedy two years ago that starred All My Children alum Mark Consuelos and was executive produced by Ripa. This latest project, still untitled, is about a Queens handyman played by Consuelos who upgrades to the ritzy Upper West Side with his son to become, in Deadline’s words, a “non-traditional family unit.†A read between the lines (and a lot of wishful thinking) suggests a bit of King of Queens inspiration and maybe some Gossip Girl potential, with a hint of Modern Family thrown in. As we said, a lot of wishful thinking.
