David Letterman has been Jimmy Kimmel’s hero and role model since he was a teen, and last night, Kimmel finally got the guy to appear as a guest on his show. Letterman has made cameos on Craig Ferguson and Colbert lately, but this is a rare instance of him sitting down for a long-form interview and the first late night interview he’s given since popping up on his successor Conan O’Brien’s show in the ‘90s. Letterman and Kimmel prove to be kindred spirits, even if Kimmel doesn’t make much progress in trying to make Letterman be his best friend.
Here’s the rest of the interview, in several parts, after the jump.
