Flight of the Conchords frontman Bret McKenzie, who won an Oscar for penning the song “Man or Muppet†for last year’s Muppets reboot, is coming back to write music for the sequel, according to an interview with the movie’s producer at Collider. Filming is expected to begin in January in London, with the original film’s director James Bobin behind the camera again, working from a script he co-wrote with Nicholas Stoller, who also co-wrote the previous Muppets movie. Rehiring McKenzie is a major coup as his asking price has probably increased exponentially since winning that Oscar. Let’s just hope he doesn’t write a rap song for an old man again.
