NBC’s Amy Poehler–and–Tina Fey–hosted broadcast of the Golden Globes did really, really well in the ratings. The three-hour broadcast was seen by 20 million viewers on Sunday, or roughly twice the average combined viewership of Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock. Oscar’s warm-up act was a Nielsen smash no matter how you slice it: Viewership was up 17 percent from last year’s telecast and was the highest for any Globes since 2007. Fey and Poehler also skewed young, with Sunday’s Globes up 28 percent among adults under 50 (to a 6.4 rating in that demographic category). So, Amy and Tina, Golden Globes hosts for life?
