Mark and Jay Duplass just sold a pilot for a single-camera comedy to HBO called Togetherness, Deadline reports. The Duplass brothers, who have been behind movies like Jeff Who Lives at Home, Cyrus, and The Puffy Chair, will write, direct, and produce the series, which follows two couples living under the roof and trying to keep their relationships alive while pursuing their individual dreams. Mark Duplass, who’s currently starring in the FX series The League, is not expect to act in Togetherness. This is just the latest show HBO is developing from high-profile comedy filmmakers, with series on the way from Christopher Guest and Stephen Merchant, a pilot in development by Mike Judge and another produced by Jason Reitman and Lorne Michaels. We’ll keep you posted on HBO’s further efforts to round up all the cool comedy directors and put them to work.
