Emmy winner Margo Martindale has signed on to play Nick’s tough Chicago mother on New Girl later this year. According to EW, her episode will air in March. She’s just the latest in what’s been a pretty parent-heavy season so far for New Girl: Dennis Farina played Nick’s no-good father a few weeks ago, Jess’s parents Jamie Lee Curtis and Rob Reiner appeared on the Thanksgiving episode, and Anna Maria Horsford played Winston’s mom back in September. But where are Schmidt’s parents? Someone, please call Richard Lewis right now.
