Unexpected Harry Potter alumni news: Rupert Grint is television-bound. The erstwhile Ron Weasley will star in CBS’s Super Clyde, a single-camera comedy pilot about “a meek, unassuming fast-food worker who decides to become a super hero.†Clyde is a big comic book reader and “a borderline agoraphobic with mild to severe anxiety issues.†If you’ve seen Kick-Ass, you know where this is going — sort of. Clyde comes into a $100,000-per-month inheritance from a dead uncle and decides to use the dough as his super power, using it “only for good and [to] reward the good-hearted.†The show comes from Greg Garcia, creator of My Name Is Earl, Raising Hope, and Yes, Dear.
