Writer/director Lynn Shelton (Humpday, Your Sister’s Sister) is lining up the cast for her next movie: Anne Hathaway, Chloë Moretz, and Sam Rockwell are all “deep in negotiations†to star in Laggies, according to Deadline. Fancy schmancy! Hathaway would play an emotionally stunted twentysomething who holes up with her 16-year-old new bestie (Moretz) after her boyfriend proposes; Rockwell would play another character, who is not the boyfriend. Shelton’s latest movie, Touchy Feely, which opened at Sundance, is less free-flowing and more strictly scripted than her previous films, so Laggies might not be as improvised and naturalistic as, say, Humpday. On the Hathaway Scale of Cinematic Formality, though, it’ll still be closer to Rachel Getting Married than Les Misérables.
