The Vampire Diaries – “The Originalsâ€

It looks like last night’s backdoor pilot for a New Orleans–set Vampire Diaries spinoff was a success: The Originals will indeed air on the CW next season, the network announced this afternoon. Finally, entertainment about vampires! The CW also renewed Beauty and the Beast and Hart of Dixie, which just leaves The Carrie Diaries and Nikita up in the air, since TVD, Supernatural, and Arrow have all already been picked up for next year. Ah, pickup season, how sweet the sound.
