Paul Thomas Anderson’s adaptation of Thomas Pynchon’s Inherent Vice is the movie to be in come 2014 — Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Josh Brolin, Benicio del Toro, and maybe Sean Penn are already onboard — and paparazzi just spotted another familiar face on set: Maya Rudolph, Anderson’s longtime partner. As The Playlist points out, the nurse costume would suggest that Rudolph is playing Petunia Leeway, which is a minor character, but still. Maya Rudolph! This is good news.
