Jay Baruchel is making a comedy about his life for ABC, Variety reports. He’ll write and executive produce the untitled project with his new writing partner, Jesse Chabot, who produced the movie Goon and is writing the sequel with him. The potential series follows an actor who, to avoid the vapidness of Hollywood, moves back to his home town of Burlington, Vermont, where he buys a house down the street from his mother and invites his childhood friends to move in with him. In real life, Baruchel spends most of his time in his hometown in Canada, which is discussed frequently in another semi-autobiographical project, this summer’s This Is the End. As of now, it looks like he won’t be starring in this new TV project and will remain behind the scenes.
