Sunday night, The Colbert Report won the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Series, snapping The Daily Show’s ten-year winning streak. It was a very exciting moment, partly because Colbert totally deserved it and partly because you couldn’t wait to see how Colbert the character reacted to the win. Last night was their first episode back and it didn’t disappoint. Jon Stewart shows up and it’s all hilarious and touching and perfect.
