This summer, Mark Wahlberg graduated from high school. As the 42-year-old “actor, producer, and philanthropist†explains in an adorable blog post on Huffington Post, he had dropped out before finishing tenth grade to do some seriously bad stuff. However, unlike “most high school dropouts,†he ended up with a “successful [career] in Hollywood.†One that apparently afforded him time to attend high school online. “For almost a year, I’ve been taking classes and studying any chance I could get — on the set, traveling for work and at home.†On set!? So while the Rock was doing push-ups between Pain & Gain takes, Wahlberg was reading Of Mice and Men? Still, it all worked out. He writes, “It has been both humbling and challenging, but I’m happy to report that I am officially a high school graduate.†Congratulations, Mark Wahlberg. And, as an added bonus, as a recent high school graduate, you’re now the target demo for many of your movies.
