Followers of Rihanna’s Instagram know that she is a prolific poster of selfies, so it’s possible that some fans missed the one she took of herself posing with a slow loris in Phuket, Thailand this weekend, as it was quickly buried by a series of elephants. However, the Thai authorities did notice the shot, and they used it to track down the people responsible for displaying the fluffy, saucer-eyed creature, which is listed as a protected species. The AP reports that the police confiscated a pair of lorises from a 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man, who now must pay a fine and face up to four years in prison. This likely means that those particular lorises won’t get to meet any more international celebrities, but it’s probably for the best.
