The most recent issue of The Hollywood Reporter profiles Vince Gilligan as a man without a job. Besides documenting how nervous he is about the idea of figuring out his next project, they were able to get Gilligan to provide some info about the highly anticipated Better Call Saul. Though the show will be run by Breaking Bad writer and Saul creator Peter Gould, Gilligan intends on being in the writers’ room during the first season and will direct the first episode, as they intend on maintaining BB’s distinct aesthetic. Gilligan also hopes to have the stars of BB cameo. “Personally, I’d have a hard time resisting putting all these guys in for a cameo or two every now and then,†he told THR. [Spoiler alert for this joke sentence.] So get pumped to see Walter White alive and at a parent-teacher meeting with one of Saul’s clients.
