Comedian Moshe Kasher just sold a his own comedy to Showtime, Deadline reports. Kasher will star in and create the untitled half-hour dark comedy, which is based on his 2012 memoir Kasher In The Rye: The True Tale Of A White Boy From Oakland Who Became A Drug Addict, Criminal, Mental Patient … And Then Turned Sixteen. Kasher is a popular standup who debuted his first special, Moshe Kasher: Live In Oakland, earlier this year. In addition that, he’s also a co-host of The Champs podcast, plays Natasha Leggero’s sidekick Pig-Bottom on her JASH web series Tubbin’ with Tash, and served on a staff writer on NBC’s The New Normal.
