Olympian McKayla Maroney and former West Wing star Richard Schiff will be on an upcoming episode of Bones. Schiff plays a grieving scientist, and Maroney plays his dead daughter’s former frenemy. According to EW, Schiff will play the “Dr. Brennan of theoretical physics,†which here refers to her tendency to be literal and her general flat affect, not to the fact that she’s besties with everyone at work, is married to her partner, and wears a lot of sensible but flattering pants. If there’s a Dr. Brennan of theoretical physics in that sense, maybe that could be its own separate show.
