Fox’s project of enabling Seth MacFarlane to offend everyone in America will now extend to the issue of immigration. The Family Guy creator has been given yet another show on the network — one about “the undergoing cultural shift in America.†Deadline reports that the network gave a thirteen-episode order to Bordertown, which will join Family Guy and the recently renewed The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers next season. The show will be “set in a fictitious desert town near the U.S.-Mexico border†and center on the intertwining daily lives of neighbors Bud Buckwald, a Border Patrol agent, and Ernesto Gonzales, an industrious Mexican immigrant. The show is created by MacFarlane and Family Guy’s Mark Hentemann and both with executive produce. If MacFarlane’s Dads is any indication — and we bet it is — then you should prepare yourself for some racism.
