John Corbett is returning to Parenthood as Sarah’s ex and Amber and Drew’s father. According to TV Guide, he’ll show up on the thirteenth episode of the season, which should air early next year. (The most recent episode, “Election Day,†was number nine.) Corbett’s Seth is an absentee deadbeat, but perhaps his reappearance will help Amber get some clarity about her increasingly problematic relationship with Ryan. Quick show of hands: Who thinks Amber and Ryan are actually going to get married? No one? Yep, no one.
