Once upon a time, The Real World was about seven strangers picked to live in a house. Then with Real World: Seattle, that changed to seven people picked to live in a house, since David and Nathan knew each other beforehand. For The Real World: Brooklyn, the cast expanded to eight. And now comes the biggest shake-up of all: The new season of the show will be The Real World: Ex-Plosion, and will feature young people and their exes. According to EW, the 29th season will still start with seven attractive show-offs from a variety of backgrounds living in a swanky house, but then, four weeks in, their exes will show up and throw things for a loop. If this sounds like that one season of Big Brother, well, that’s because it’s just like that.
