The Thor sequel, which debuted in first place at the box office last week, brought in $38.4 million domestically this time around. That’s a 55 percent decrease from last weekend, but the Disney and Marvel Studios production is still doing very well, having now earned $150 million in the United States for a global total of $479.8 million. Meanwhile, another sequel — this one fourteen years in the making — came in at a surprisingly close second: Malcolm D. Lee’s The Best Man Holiday earned $30.6 million. And far in the distance, old bro-fest Last Vegas, animated turkey tale Free Birds, and Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa rounded out the weekend box office’s top five, earning $7.9 million, $7.5 million, and $7.2 million, respectively.
