We get that the Funny Or Die video released alongside the season-four premiere of Downton Abbey is a joke, but wouldn’t we all watch a TNT cop drama in which Michelle Dockery chokes out Michael Chiklis before donning a tiara and crying over spilled Matthew? Of course we would. So Michelle Dockery periodically lapses into her Downton Abbey character for the rest of her career due to some kind of artistic fugue state or undiagnosed brain tumor. So what? We’re fine with it. Case closed.
