Starz has released the first trailer for Outlander, the time-travel series from Battlestar Galactica’s Ron Moore. The sci-fi drama, which is based on a very popular series of books by Diana Gabaldon, chronicles the adventures of a British WWII nurse who is transported back to 1743, where she gets involved in both romantic and historical conflicts. Via voiceover, heroine Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) explains, “Something happened to me — and I know it doesn’t make any sense — but I seem to have fallen through time.†The trailer doesn’t offer many details beyond that, though it does feature lots of spooky Scottish mist, soldiers on horseback, and candles that seem appropriate to the story’s sexy reputation.
