Seth Meyers’ Best ‘SNL’ Sketches

Considering he’s anchored Weekend Update since 2006, it’s easy to forget that Seth Meyers was once a regular SNL cast member who served as the perfect sketch complement to Jimmy Fallon and Amy Poehler and the show’s go-to slightly nerdy, slightly jocky college sports dude. During his 13-year run on SNL, Meyers showed up in a handful of sketches, bringing in his Red Sox superfandom (see Boston Powers from “The Kings of Catchphrase Comedyâ€), Irish boy charm (see “Top O’ The Morningâ€), impersonation talents (see “The Adventures of Peter O’Toole and Michael Caine“) and ability to pull off almost any bizarre supporting character in a way that made his cast mates shine (see his 7 appearances as the mullet-sporting Nerod in “Appalachian Emergency Roomâ€). In anticipation of Seth’s final SNL episode tomorrow night, here’s a look at some of his most memorable characters, impersonations, and sketches that give his time at the Update desk a run for its money.
