John Oliver’s new HBO show will be called Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, and it will make its debut on April 27 at 11 p.m., the network announced today. Oliver spent the summer doing a bang-up job as the fill-in host of The Daily Show, so it was no surprise in November when HBO announced it was giving Oliver a series of his own. He took TDS’s head writer Tim Carvell with him, so expectations are pretty high! Don’t let us down, John Oliver. Don’t you dare let us down.
