It looks like Seth Meyers’s most popular “Weekend Update†guest will be popping up on Late Night once he takes over NBC’s 12:35am show. As a guest on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live last night, Meyers told host Andy Cohen, “Bill [Hader] and I spoke during my last SNL, and we do think [Stefon] will turn up eventually.†Meyers added, “The thing that’s great is that all the SNL actors … are just a few floors away,†but said that he wants to establish his version of Late Night as its own thing and that Lorne Michaels, who produces both shows, cautioned him about making his new show too heavy on SNL characters. Meyers takes over Late Night on February 24th, and he announced earlier this week that his former SNL cast member Fred Armisen will be the bandleader on his new show.
