Les Misérables director Tom Hooper and star Eddie Redmayne are joining forces again for The Danish Girl, based on David Ebershoff’s novel of the same name. The book is inspired by the life of Danish painter Einar Wegener, one of the first people to undergo a sex change, and focuses on his relationship with his wife Gerda. Hooper will direct and Redmayne will play Wegener, in what marks the third Les Miz mini-reunion announced recently — Hugh Jackman and Amanda Seyfried are also reuniting for Pan, and Seyfried and Russell Crowe will star together in Fathers and Daughters. It’s just like they always say: Friends who sing in an Oscar-nominated film together, stay together.
