Amazon is taking another round of open submissions for the website’s streaming service Amazon Instant Video. Check out the details on how to submit your project. They’re looking specifically for live-action half-hour comedies, including subgenres like dark comedy and comedy-dramas. Amazon originally took submissions back in the fall of 2012, resulting in a batch of pilots that resulted in two series orders (Alpha House, Betas) and included one pilot, The Grawlix’s Those Who Can’t, that came from the open submission process.
After their respective first seasons, Amazon renewed Alpha House, canceled Betas, and ordered two new comedies: Mozart in the Jungle and Transparent.
