Mindy Kaling is writing a new book, called Why Not Me? — a title that “has kind of been my subconscious motto my whole life,†she told the Los Angeles Times. Why Not Me? will be a collection of personal essays, much like her last book, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns), but focusing on things that have happened since 2011. “So much has happened between the time I published my first book and now: The show; my mother passed away; so many of my friends have gotten married. I’m a godmother now, and a homeowner.†So, funny musings on general life stuff.
