AMC has been developing its very first comedy pilot We Hate Paul Revere since way back in 2012, but it wasn’t until this past summer when it began picking up pace with attached cast members Scott Adsit and Ron Livingston with SNL/Funny or Die/Spoils of Babylon director Matt Piedmont also attached to direct. Sadly, THR reports that AMC has decided to pass on the project, presumably to focus on original scripted drama now that Breaking Bad has ended and Mad Men will conclude its run next year. AMC has a bunch of comedies currently in development as well as a TV adaptation of the comic Preacher by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, but none have moved forward from the development phase just yet.
