The date of David Letterman’s final Late Show has been revealed. CBS announced today that the very last Late Show with David Letterman will air on Wednesday, May 20th next year. “David Letterman has given to all of us a remarkable legacy of achievement and creative brilliance that will never be forgotten,†CBS exec Leslie Moonves said in a statement. “It’s going to be tough to say goodbye, but I know we will all cherish the shows leading up to Dave’s final broadcast in May.†Letterman has been host of Late Show since 1993 and previously hosted Late Night from 1982-1993. May 20th will make his 6,028th episode as a late night host.
