The LAPD has started an investigation into Judy Huth’s allegations that Bill Cosby molested her when she was 15 years old, the AP reports. Huth — one of the 19 women who have come forward with sexual-assault allegations against the comedian — is suing Cosby for “psychological damages and mental anguish.†She can’t file criminal charges because the alleged incident took place before 1988. Her lawyer Gloria Allred said she would provide “any and all evidence†that she has to the police. Huth met with the LAPD for 90 minutes, after which the department decided to open an investigation into Cosby. The day prior, police chief Charlie Beck urged potential victims of Cosby to speak to them, regardless of whether their claims were outside the statute of limitations. Cosby, in turn, has filed his own lawsuit against Huth for trying to extort him.
