Back in June it was announced that Cameron Crowe was developing a roadie comedy for Showtime, and today THR reports that the project has set its leading stars. The pilot will follow “the day-to-day life of a successful rock tour as seen through the crew members who get the show on the road†and star Luke Wilson as the sober and “sleep-deprived†tour manager Bill, Imogen Poots as electrical tech Kelly Ann, Keisha Castle-Hughes as the “outspoken and passionate†sound mixer Donna Mancini, Peter Cambor as “offbeat American anglophile guitar tech†Milo, and Rafe Spall as a British financial adviser named Reg Whitehead who “knows less than zero about the music business.†Crowe will write and direct the pilot and also serve as a co-executive producer with J.J. Abrams and My So-Called Life’s Winnie Holzman.
