Fargo has decided to fill out its season-two cast by hiring every working actor who wasn’t already in season one. FX today announced that Patrick Wilson, Ted Danson, and Jean Smart will join Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons as leads in the drama’s second season, which takes place in 1979. Wilson will play the younger version of Keith Carradine’s season-one character*, a Vietnam vet turned small-town police officer; Danson will play Wilson’s father-in law, a sheriff who helps him in his investigations; and Smart will play the head of a local crime family. The recurring cast includes Nick Offerman as a drunken lawyer, Brad Garrett and Bokeem Woodbine as mobsters, and Jeffrey Donovan, Angus Sampson, and Kieran Culkin as Smart’s feuding sons. How all these characters will interact with Dunst’s “small town beautician with big city dreams†is unknown, but rest assured, everyone will probably be wearing big, puffy coats.

* The original version of this post said that Patrick Wilson was playing the younger version of Sam Elliott’s character in Fargo. Elliott was not in Fargo.
