Cary Fukunaga’s list of True Detective follow-ups gets even longer: He’s signed on to direct a movie based on the life of Joe Bell, an Oregon father who set out to walk across America as a tribute to his son Jadin, who committed suicide after being bullied for his sexuality. The elder Bell was struck and killed by a truck driver six months into his voyage, which means this one will be a guaranteed tearjerker.
