In case you hadn’t heard, there’s a huge general election coming up in Britain very soon. And who better to get people to vote than Meryl freakin’ Streep! Here she is, alongside Carey Mulligan, as a badass feminist (based on the real-life badass Emmeline Pankhurst) fighting for the right to get women the vote in 20th-century Britain in Sarah Gavron’s upcoming Suffragette. And if the not-so-subtle #votingmatters hashtag at the end of its first teaser doesn’t get millennials to the polls, at least we all got to see Meryl in that hat.
