Michelle MacLaren, the TV phenom and Breaking Bad alum who was set to direct Wonder Woman, is jumping ship because she and the studio weren’t seeing eye to eye, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct Wonder Woman together,†the studio said in its statement. The differences that led to this disappointing news are unclear. This would’ve been MacLaren’s feature directorial debut, and it would’ve been the first time in almost a decade that a woman directed a major comic-book movie. Those 8 million angry tweets might come after all — unless Warner Bros. does something quickly about this now-unfortunately-MacLaren-less director’s chair.
