At the end of Wednesday night’s Late Show with David Letterman finale, the Foo Fighters closed out the show while a long photo and clip montage played featuring tons of memories from throughout Letterman’s legendary run, most of which only appeared on the screen for a split second. Thankfully, one diehard Letterman fan decided to not only break down every single frame (537 total) used in the montage but contextualize every moment by the year or celebrity guest. It’s a fascinating dive into just some of Letterman’s best late night contributions from his 30+ year career, and it should at least be a good distraction while we’re still mourning the careless destruction of the iconic Late Show set yesterday afternoon.
