Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes are used to performing in front of thousands, so the “fucking intimate room†at Vulture Festival took them by surprise. The pair taped a live version of their podcast “Jay and Silent Bob Get Old†that started with Smith waxing poetic (lots of fucks) about the show’s origins. Apparently even Courtney Love is a Jay and Silent Bob fan; Smith recalled an encounter with Love that ended in her referencing the podcast. He and Mewes also talked about addiction (to both drugs and sugar), revealed some Google Maps Easter eggs, and debated the benefits of dairy (“I’m relatively sure that if you waterboarded me with milk, I’d be okayâ€).
