Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner’s new comedy series Difficult People debuts on Hulu Wednesday, August 5th, and ahead of the premiere, Eichner, Klausner, and executive producer Amy Poehler chatted about the show during the annual Vulture Festival and revealed some guest stars we can expect to see this season, including Amy Sedaris, Seth Meyers, Fred Armisen (as Billy’s brother), Debbie Harry, Kate McKinnon (as a “sober magician”), Martin Short, Marc Shaiman, and Bravo’s Andy Cohen. Poehler also recommended the show to everyone in the audience with some high praise: “I would binge-watch the shit out of this show if I weren’t involved with it.” Thankfully, the opportunity for the rest of us to binge-watch Difficult People is now only two months away.
