When The Mindy Project makes its Hulu debut later this year, it’ll do so with Joseph Gordon-Levitt: As BuzzFeed reports, he’s set to join the show for its season-four premiere, in which he’ll play Mindy Kaling’s husband. If that news comes as a shock to Mindy and Danny shippers, don’t worry! The premiere takes place in an alternate version of Mindy’s life — an idea inspired by the 1998 rom-com Sliding Doors — in which JGL plays a reality-show producer for Bravo, a.k.a. the man of everyone’s dreams. Because no one writes better fanfic than Mindy Kaling.
