Last night’s late night ratings are in, and unsurprisingly, it was a huge night for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. According to Entertainment Weekly, Colbert’s premiere episode came out on top with a total of 6.6 million viewers, double that of Fallon’s viewers (2.9 million) and tripling Kimmel viewers (1.7 million). Fallon’s Tonight Show debut last year drew a whopping 11.3 viewers, but Fallon had one huge advantage that Colbert didn’t have last night: the 2014 Olympics on NBC was his lead-in.
