The Coach revival isn’t happening after all – at least not on NBC. According to Deadline, NBC has decided to cancel the project despite giving it a straight-to-series order back in April. Only one episode out of the 13-episode order had been filmed, and Deadline says creative differences between Coach producers and the network ultimately led to scrapping the series altogether. Unsurprisingly, another reason for NBC backing out is reportedly that “response to the reboot had been mixed, with some sources indicating that it felt dated.†The studio behind the project, Universal TV, has plans to shop the show to other venues like Netflix.
