During his visit to last night’s Late Show, James Taylor performed a few songs, but when the time came to perform his classic song “Fire and Rain†he had a surprise for the audience. Since he wrote the song in 1970, Taylor really hadn’t seen many more things than fire and rain, so with the help of Colbert, he sang a new, updated version of the song that includes all the new and exciting things he’s seen over the past 45 years. It’s really too bad they didn’t include the next 75 verses in this clip.
